✨ART CLIENT STORIES✨ Mark Schuster is an acclaimed Pacific Northwest architect and real estate developer and author of “Lofty Heights” telling about his experience building a dream: Mosler Lofts in the Belltown neighborhood of Seattle. He initially discovered an already-sold Dolly Parton piece I created at a local gallery in Ballard. A musician himself and enthusiastic fan of Dolly’s records, he contacted me in the Fall of 2021 to get his own custom commission of her to hang in his new music room on Whidbey Island. Several months later in the summer of 2022 I had a book signing event on the island and Mark invited me out to you be of his dinner parties so he could get a picture taken with me and Dolly.
✨ART CLIENT STORIES✨
Jack Horner attended my first solo exhibit in Bozeman, Montana back in 2017 when he purchased this horse collage I entitled “Jurassic 5.” Unbeknownst to me at the time, Jack was a world-renown paleontologist who served as the technical advisor for the first five Jurassic Park films and had a cameo appearance in Jurassic World! He even served as a partial inspiration for one of the lead characters of the franchise, Dr. Alan Grant. He bought this horse as it kind of reminded him of a dinosaur profile—hence, why I named it what I did.
✨ART CLIENT STORIES✨See the visual diary I did on this project—a procession of photos of my process!
✨ART CLIENT STORIES✨ A Denver Interior designer hired me to do these custom florals for her renovated home. I had never done foliage in collage—as my strength is in faces but she liked my style so much that she urged me to put something together. These abstract daisy’s are what we both came up with together. She was so happy with the end results—and so was I, for not giving up on the project! Now I know I can handle florals.
✨ART CLIENT STORIES✨Earl was my first Bernese mountain dog I did for a family in Montana. He had passed away and his owners wanted something to commemorate his spirit in a visual way. They even wanted to fly me out to Kalispell for New Years to present this piece but I couldn’t make it! Really is an honor when I get clients who want me present in their home after I complete their art.
